CDN comparison
How Edge compares, honestly
Cloudflare uses flat plans, so it isn't on a usage chart. Published NA/EU rates; estimates, not quotes.

Pricing models
Three ways to bill a CDN
- Most CDNs
Per GB of egress
Bunny, Fastly, Akamai, CDN77 and CloudFront charge for every byte delivered. Bills grow with success, and a viral day shows up on the invoice. - Edge
Per request
Edge charges $0.25 per million requests and nothing for bandwidth. Byte-heavy sites win; sites serving millions of tiny files pay relatively more. Flat plans
Cloudflare bundles delivery into plan tiers. Predictable when small; growing sites move to enterprise contracts priced by quote.
Switching
Moving CDNs takes an afternoon
- 01
Point Edge at your origin
Create a deployment using the origin your current CDN pulls from. Nothing moves. - 02
Test on a staging hostname
Compare headers, hit ratio and latency while your current CDN keeps serving production. - 03
Switch one DNS record
Repoint the CNAME. Keep the old CDN for a few days as a fallback, then turn it off.

Compare on your own traffic
The fairest test is yours. Put one hostname on Edge's free tier and look at the numbers side by side.
Free tier: 3 deployments and 500k requests a month, hard-capped. Bandwidth is always $0.
